They defrosted the three embies left over from our de/ds cycle. Fortunately, all three were blasts and survived the thaw, so we put all three back. The original plan was to also defrost the one we had left over from our first de cycle, but since these three all survived, they decided that four would just be too many and didn't defrost the last one. I was slightly annoyed considering our lack of success even when transferring 2 perfect fresh blasts, but whatever. That fourth frostie wasn't the best quality anyway and I'm thinking it probably wouldn't have survived the thaw. But that was why I wanted to go ahead and defrost it. It's not like I'm going to go through all this trouble again to see if it will do anything in the future. All the shots and meds aren't worth it for one questionable embryo - that's why I thought they should just go ahead and throw it into the mix this time.
Oh well - for now, three embryos transferred. I'm remaining neutral - just going with the flow, taking it easy and not bothering to get my hopes up.
Now, back to bed!

Congratulations! Three on board is great. Sounds like everything went as well as possible, with three healthy blasts you have a great chance. Best of luck.
Wow, so glad that the three survived the thaw! I agree with you, though, I would have wanted the 4th one in. I know they are scared that you will get pg w/ 4 babies....but, that last one didn't sound like the greatest. So why not put it in....oh well.
Bed rest for you. Glad you sound in good spirits. I hope at least one of the blasts hangs on for the ride! :)

I agree, I don't know what the hell their problem was with not thawing the last one (no matter how bad it was). The cynical side of me would say that they did it to continue to charge you for storage. The rational side says that it was an ethical matter. My clinic pulled that crap with me four times! Of course I trusted them. Now that my IVFs are done it pisses me off that they didn't throw them all in the oven just for the heck of it.
But about yours...DEs have a much higher chance of a BFP. Many clinics give you three tries for one price or your money back. That to me says that they have enough faith that out of three tries one usually sticks. Three is a great number. It just might work this time! I think it was also a great idea that you went for the acupuncture. At least you know that you tried everything. Good luck and keep us posted!

I don't want to give you false hope and god knows I hate your clinic b/c I think they're a disaster overall and if this doesn't take, I believe wholeheartedly it's ALL them.
Having said all of that, let me add that blasts that survive the thaw tend to be hardy suckers. On a fresh cycle, they choose what they believe looks best but with no secondary "test." With a FET, the blast had to be good quality to make it through that process.
So, what I'm trying to say (very unsuccessfully) is that I wish you the best luck and great success. Damn it, you've been through a LOT and I just want you to see those 2 pink lines - at last!

Although Sky is not very confident in her persuading powers, she makes a pretty good case for the thawed embies. All three survived. All three on board. That's good.
