We got the paperwork on our new donor and officially accepted her this week and returned the form to the nurse. I also picked up a new pack of BCPs. I am feeling so good about this donor. I am really happy that things didn't work out with the first one even though it has delayed everything by several months. I am so much more at peace with this donor. She and her family have so many qualities that are important to me, so I'm quite happy about it all and for some reason feel really positive about everything.
Since my donor will be on vacation from June 30-July 15, we won't be able to do anything until she gets back. But my nurse did say that she is going to check with her to see where she is in her cycle to see if we can go ahead and work on getting me synced up. That way we can get rolling as soon as she returns. Since I have no faith in my clinic's organizational skills, I plan to call the nurse some time over the next two weeks to check in and make sure she's communicated with the donor before she leaves for her trip. Other than that, I guess I'm just hanging out, waiting until July 15 and trying to enjoy the summer as much as possible.

So happy you are happy with the donor. I think that's so important. Sorry you'll have to wait a little bit longer, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait. :-D
Woohoo! Three cheers for being happier with your donor! And I'm glad you're being proactive with your clinic. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
DO NOT feel guilty to call the clinic next week and check to see if they've talked with the donor about syncing up now (vs. after vacation).
But I am VERY happy for you that you've not only found another donor but are really happy with her - even more so than the last. It's good to be in that place. :)
This sounds so good! And hopefully the clinic will be more responsive, maybe they were just afraid to call you when they couldn't reach the other donor? But I agree with Sky, call them if they aren't in touch - we really have to be our own advocates! Good luck!
I am so glad you made the switch. It's so important to feel good about the donor.
Also, thanks for your reassuring comment on my blog.
