First, my step-brother called me - he and his wife have been going through the adoption process for over a year now. They have been waiting to be matched with a birth mother for some time. This afternoon, I just got a call from him to let me know that they have been matched with a birth mother who is due in early March. She's having a girl! I'm so excited for them. They have been trying to have a child for so long - this is great news!
Then one hour later, I got a call from my nurse - can you believe it?? She was calling to tell me that they have a potential donor match for me!! She said that she just has to get the doctor to approve it and then she'll send me more details!! I am so excited! What a crazy, good day!
I can't wait to tell my hubby, but right now he's on a plane coming home from a business trip - at least this will be a good Welcome Home present.

Hooray - that is great news!!! Hopefully this donor will be all you want in genetic material! And yay for your step-bro too - what a super day. Glad you had all this goodness after the long wait for ANY news!
