No Response

The nurse never called me back yesterday. Usually if you leave a message in the morning, she'll return your call by the end of the day. However, it didn't happen yesterday. Hopefully, she'll call today.

Hi Riley, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog.

While I cannot comment on EVERY nurse, it sure seems to me that the reason that they don't get back to you about certain questions is that they don't have an answer.

For example, I could call my RE's nurse and ask her about a test result and get an answer back in a few hours. My husband calls to ask her if she could clarify some info that the surgeon had told us (about reduction) and no call back...ever. That, of course, is the most extreme example, but I saw that a lot. Because, really, who wants to call someone and tell them that they have no idea when they will get around to something that is so very important to their patient.

I, like you, HATE to make waves. I would rather wait 3 or 4 weeks and worry about something than to call someone back for the 3rd time and possibly annoy them.

However, you are paying for this. It is really too bad that your nurse is overworked. But you may find that other squeaky wheels that put in their application after you will get their needs tended to before yours....

Just a thought.
