More waiting on a response
Am I just incredibly impatient or what? A week ago Thursday the nurse called to tell me that they had a potential donor for me - I was beyond thrilled! She said that she just had to get the doctor to approve the match and then she'd contact me with the details about the donor, so, of course, I've been anxiously awaiting this information. Well, an entire week passed, and I heard nothing. How long does it take the doctor to look over the donor's file and approve her or not? Unless he was out of town, I just don't understand. So, I called the nurse first thing on Thursday morning - a week after she had called me - and left a very nice, polite message about how I was just checking in to see if the doctor approved this donor for me or not. Usually when you call in the morning, you get a call back that afternoon. Nothing. So, Friday comes and still nothing. This is driving me crazy!

Ugh! GOD do I know what you're going through and how utterly cruel this whole waiting-for-a-donor is.
I'm sending you good vibes that you get the call tomorrow and that you'll be on your way straight away so I can live vicariously through you! :)))
Ah, the horrible agony of not knowing...sorry you are in this position. Hopefully they are still getting the donor's paperwork in order or something, and they are (wrongly) thinking they will not bother you until it's all in order. I think you were great to wait the week, but if it were me I'd call again on Monday or Tuesday. Would it kill them to let you know (I should talk, my clinic is the worst at calling back!)
