Just received a tracking e-mail from Fed Ex - my drugs were delivered to my house today. I go in tomorrow for an ultrasound and if all is well, I start Lupron tomorrow night. So, here we go - again for the fifth and final try. I'm ready.
I got my schedule over the weekend. The good thing is that retrieval is scheduled around Nov. 18-20, depending on how things go. So that's good for my donor - she can get this out of the way before Thanksgiving, so this shouldn't mess up any of her family plans if she had any. The bad part is - depending on which day retrieval actually falls on and if we do a three-day or a five-day transfer, I could end up being on bed rest for Thanksgiving. I so hope that's not the case. If retrieval ends up being on Nov. 18 - we should be in good shape regardless of if it is a three-day or five-day, but if it's later - we may be cutting things close.
It's not that big of a deal, but we are hosting my in-laws for Thanksgiving. Worst case scenario - DH will have to step up and actually help cook the turkey and his mom and sister will have to do a lot of the rest. The only thing that bothers me is that we weren't planning on telling anyone about this cycle unless we actually have success. We don't want anyone to know ahead of time because we are tired of getting our families' hopes up just to have to disappoint them later. But if I'm on bed rest when they get here - I'll have to tell them something. But, really, I think all that is the least of my worries at this point.

Congrats on the forward progress! It's awesome that they have able to arrange the donor/ your cycles so (relatively) quickly.
wrt Turkey Day -- you are right -- it's the least of your worries right now, and hopefully the retrieval will be on the earlier side and it won't even be an issue. (at least that's what I am hoping -- we may have to cancel the trip home for T-day if the planets don't align...)
Wishing you lots of luck!
Woohoo! Looks like I'm going to be a week or two behind you - let's keep that up for the next 9+ months, eh? Glad everything's set!
Yep, one step at a time. I'm so happy you are moving forward though. It feels good to be doing something other than waiting, doesn't it?
Take care!
Wow - I'm on the same exact schedule as you. My Donor is scheduled for retrieval during the same window. Let's hope we're on bedrest for Thanksgiving. Let's hope we're on our way towards a real, live baby this time. xxoo
No worries my dear. Sounds like everything is moving in the right direction!!!
I hope the transfer dates work out for you. But, really, if you are lying down and your DH is cooking the turkey, won't your family know SOMETHING is up?? Mine would think it was time to rush me to the hospital! I'm sure it will work out, but sending you lots of positive vibes just in case.
Yay for a schedule! Sorry to hear that you might be in bed with a sudden case of stomach flu, for Thanksgiving, though! ;-)
