Still waiting on AF, but this time it's the donor's. She arrived for me in full force after taking the PIO shot and now it seems she doesn't want to leave! I did finally hear back from my clinic. Another nurse returned my call at the request of my nurse who was actually out of the office for some reason - so at least I know what the deal is now - kindof. The nurse who called me said they are now waiting for my donor to start her period and then they'll put together the schedule for us. I'm assuming my donor doesn't have the issues that I do, so hopefully AF will arrive for her within a few days or weeks. I'm going to call back next week to see if I can get some more details of when they think that may be. So, once again, I wait.
But the one small bit of good news that I got - if you want to call it that or small piece of luck - for once - is that I went on the donor sperm website the other day to look at my donor again and to just see if they had added any new ones and I noticed that my donor was no longer there. Hmmm....this concerned me a little but I wasn't too worried because I had gone ahead and purchased a vial and paid extra for them to store it right when I found him because I knew without a doubt that he was the perfect donor for us. Same eye, hair color, height, build etc as my husband. He's young, proven, attractive with similar facial features to DH, very smart and extremely athletic - all things that we liked. But when I saw that he was no longer on their website, I e-mailed the sperm donor coordinator just to confirm that I did, indeed, have a vial in storage.
This was her response: Yes, you have 1 unit in storage! I am so glad you reserved the unit from this donor. He is out of units for now and he already has a pending list going. He only comes to donate in the summers because he is away at school the remainder of the year so it will be quite some time before he has more units! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Yes! For once, something worked out in my favor!

That's kind of like getting the last tub of Haagen Dazs Vanilla Swiss Almond from the back of the freezer at the supermarket! SCORE! :-)
Hope your Egg Donor gets AF soon!
It's all about to come together! I hope your donor gets AF sooner rather than later and you can get your schedule and know what the plan is. SOOOOO lucky you reserved the sperm donor unit! Wow. I just love when things work out perfectly like that!
