The nurse called me back the other day and said she had talked to the doctor about my cycle being so late. He said that I should take a HPT first just to make sure that I'm not pregnant. Right. Does he seriously think that I wouldn't have already done that? I laughed and told her that I already had that part covered. Then she said I should inject myself with 2cc of PIO - said that should do the trick in a couple of days. Hmm - I had never heard about that. If I had known, I probably would have done it several weeks ago, but I checked Dr. Google and, indeed, it appears many others have followed these same instructions with success. Who knew. So I pulled out my leftover supply of PIO and my big old needles and stuck myself last night. I didn't even bother asking DH - just did it myself and it really wasn't too bad except, I bled a lot - just not from the right place yet! Hopefully, she'll be here soon so we can get things started.
I swear, I am really starting to think that God or the universe or some other power out there really does not want me to get pregnant - with all the roadblocks being constantly thrown in my way, no matter what plan of action I come up with.

And now I know another use for PIO, as well. Who knew?
Hopefully AF will be here before the weekend is out. Everything else is ready to roll, right?
I'm sorry you feel like the powers that be are out to get you. To obstruct you from this dream. I hope that very soon you are feeling blessed. ((hugs)).
