Got a call from the nurse today - she said my donor is supposed to come in tomorrow and she is pretty sure that she'll start her stims then - yay! She said she'll call me and let me know when to start the delestrogen and insert the mystifying estring - I've not been able to find much information on this from Dr. Google. I don't quite understand why my doctor uses an estring when it sounds like everyone else uses patches. Oh well - I don't really care what I use, as long as it works!
So, hopefully, I'll know more tomorrow. I had a bit of drama yesterday when I got a call from the pharmacy at 6 p.m. telling me that my credit card had been denied for the payment of the donor's meds that were scheduled to be shipped out at 6:30 that night. I called my credit card company to find out what the deal was and they had put a hold on it for security reasons since it was a large amount. Ok - I appreciate that they are looking out for me, but I've ordered meds that have cost more than this in the past with no problem and now they are about to screw up my whole donor schedule. I was not happy, but luckily, I was able to confirm the charge and they said they lifted the block. So, I call the pharmacist back and they try to process the order again - DENIED! I was furious! They said sometimes it takes a while for the credit card company to process my request, but I didn't have a while - the clock was ticking. So, I call my husband, get his card info, call the pharmacy back and his card is denied - unf'ingbelieveable!! At this point, I'm starting to panic - we have 10 minutes before Fed Ex shows up. Both my card and my husband's were Chase cards. Chase was blocking the purchase on both cards!! They tried mine again - still denied. Arrgghh!!! I call my husband in a panic again - luckily, he had another card with a different bank, so I called the pharmacy AGAIN and this time it went through with minutes to spare. In the end, it all worked out but what a freaking nightmare. I mean, thanks for looking out for me, but if this would have resulted in my donor getting her meds late, I would have gone ballistic! I have enough other ways for this cycle to get screwed up - I don't need any help from the credit card company.

Call Chase and rip them a new a**hole, seriously! This will not be the last time they do this shit to you - you'll have other charges due to this cycle and you do not need that kind of setback! In fact, give them the names of the establishments they SHOULD expect to see charges from in bigger numbers over the next month. How frustrating - I'm pissed off for you!
Oh, trust me - my husband took care of that! He let them have it - not like it does a lot of good, but it made us feel better!
